A Rite of Spring
Poster Design
This poster design was made for Northern Arizona University's Theater Department. They were putting on a production for the play, "A Rite of Spring: in sound and movement," and needed a poster for advertisement. The play has a darker theme to it, as it is about the return of spring and renewal of Earth after a harsh winter by a sacrifice. The person chosen for sacrifice is cloaked in red and must dance to death. Because of the heavier theme, I designed a poster that conveyed the aesthetic of the theater production with a moodier color palette and rigid forms.
